I have an old Houston Instruments Flatbed plotter. I remember years ago, back when I used Win98, I used it to directly draw etch resist onto boards. It worked great. I recently dusted it off, and it seems I can't get the serial port to work with a USB-Serial adapter, and something like 'copy myfile.plt > LPT1' or to USB001, doesn't work in Windows 8.1 with a USB-Centronics adapter. Since there really aren't print drivers available for this, and since it's HPGL2 compatible, sending HPGL directly to the printer sounds like the best choice. Can GerbView or ViewCompanion print to a parallel/serial HPGL Plotter?
Thanks!
