Product: ViewCompanion Pro
Version: 11.21 - 64-bit
OS Version: Windows Server 2016 Standard

Issue:  While interactively logged into the server, ViewCompanion Pro command works without issue and does the requested conversion.  We are trying to convert this to a Windows Service, but when the same ViewCompanion Pro command is invoked from a Windows service, we immediately get an exit status of 3 and no conversion occurs.

Question:  What does the exit status of 3 from ViewCompanion Pro mean?

Command Example: (Each argument on separate line for clarity)

“C:\Program Files\Software Companions\ViewCompanion Pro\viewcompanion.exe”

/ci

D:\hp2dxf\test\hp2dxf.cfg

DXF

D:\hp2dxf\test\test.hpg

D:\hp2dxf\test\dxf\test.dxf

This command works without issue while ran from a command prompt while logged into the server as the id which executes the service.

Appears the exit code was java not being able to find the correct path when it contained spaces.

Corrected Command:

C:\PROGRA~1\SOFTWA~1\VIEWCO~1\viewcompanion.exe
/ci
D:\hp2dxf\test\hp2dxf.cfg
DXF
D:\hp2dxf\test\test.hpg
D:\hp2dxf\test\dxf\test.dxf

All appears to be working now.
